It has been awhile, indeed, since we've written each other.

I've been missing you.

Yes, we are still alive. We as the collective being also known as the Blue Violets. I will now refer to myself as "I". Or, if I call you Betty, you can call me Al.

What have I been up to? Well, I shot a music video for In The Caves, Before I'm Cold and The River.

What are these, you ask?

Go, Betty! Go to our myspace, and hear for yourself!

I have put up brand new ditties.

I have also split myself into mutiple personalities, one covering the Eastern Seaboard, one servicing the West.

Stay tuned as I relearn to navigate the seas of the java script.

With love, and whatnot

I, aka The Blue Violets

Hey Mom,

Sorry for not updating sooner- I've been so busy!

We have been nominated for a Monday Magazine Award (best known as the "M Awards")! Suss the details on www.mondaymag.com

Also, look for the upcoming issue of LAB Magazine, we did a shoot and interview with the very talented Justin Tyler Close. Suss THOSE deets here:

www.thelabmagazineonline.com

We are also playing their Valentines Day Party at Fortune Nightclub on, of course, Feb 14th. If you live in the city, come hither! Big City Living!

As for album #2, we are in the works! It is going VERY WELL, Mom, and let me tell you, we've incorporated a little more of the genre commonly known as "post punk" into it. Thoughts?

I have run out of things to say. Love you!

Hey Mom,

Long time no blog!

We are currently working on our second album everyone! Same team as the last, El Neilio O producing, with the new additions of Jeffrey Mitchelmore (drums) and Murray McKenzie (guitar).

What does it sound like? Well... imagine Lady Gaga made out with George Clinton and had a child by immaculate conception, blessed by Ann Peebles and raised by Lil Wayne.

Yeah I'm SERIOUS.

;)

We expect to finish it up in February, fingers crossed. In the meantime we will be playing The China Cloud in Chinatown, Vancouver on Jan 15th- new venue for fun cool kids! Come if ya wann-ta

Alright, gotta go. I can't stand the rain.

xoxo

Louise

Hi.

I can't figure out how to space this blog properly re: letter sizes, so just read the bottom part first so it makes the title of this blog relevant. OK?

Couple things. THIS SATURDAY we are playing the Lab Magazine Launch party at the Media Club! Check out the sexy website http://thelabmagazineonline.com/

We play at MIDNIGHT.

Writing new songs for the new record currently, as well as playing a few shows with our friendys Sun Wizard at the beginning of December- AND A STINT AT GLORY DAYS! GREAT SCOTS

So if you live in Vancouver, come out and say hi. If not, well thats pretty great you found this blog! Horray for internet!

I don't have much else to say now... so:

I love YouTube. You know why? Because I can look up videos now of Love, who I LOVE.

I can't believe I found this clip!!!! I love it!

I haven't written in awhile. I'm sorry. I've been distracted by the motherboards, aka the cyber goths.

RIFFLANDIA! Thank you to all of you who came out, and congrats to Coral and Atomique for a great success.

POP MONTREAL! Thank you again to our Montreal besties, and those guys in the front row who liked our shirts (next time can we trade them for your well-oiled greaser hair? xoxo)

What are we doing right now? Well i'm sitting at my parents house, waiting to get on the ferry, which may take awhile, Coral is probably asleep at home with her blackberry softly lighting her room with its crimson blinking, and Kandle is taking Bowie for a walk somewhere. Its up to you to figure out who Bowie REALLY is.

We have 2 shows this weekend! Commodore with 5440! Fun!
Debuting new songs and jamming with guest Jeffrey Mitchelmore of the Racoons. Check em' out www.myspace.com/theracoons

You know what else, friend? We plan on demoing some new ditties this winter! Great!

Have fun! Cheers!

Bye!!
